Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Oh how I loved this story! I can not wait to get to the next book. This is the first book in the Unwind Dystology and it follows three young kids that are trying hard to escape their fate. In this futuristic dystopian world, it is legal to "unwind" a child ages 13 -18, which basically means the parents or state gives the right to chop the kids up and donate all the parts. These kids are just trying to stay alive until after their 18th birthday. After that, the state is not permitted to "unwind" them. This book is amazing and I highly recommend it.
