Pride by Ibi Zoboi
When I found out about this book, I was really excited. A culturally diverse Pride and Prejudice retelling is definitely a book I wanted to read since I am a true fan of Jane Austen. This book was not for me at all. I never DNF a book because I always hope it gets better but I must say I really wanted to put this book down many times throughout the book but I didn't. I did not like the main character, Zuri, at all. It wasn't pride that she had. It was hate for anyone not like her and her family. I really try hard to stay away from such negativity and prejudices so I have to say that I could not recommend this book.
