The Secret of Platform 13 by Eva Ibbotson
This was one book that became a favorite that I read with my daughter when she was young. It is a wonderful book to read year round but especially during October! The story is about a Prince that is trapped in this world and the door to his world only opens every nine years. When he first came to this world, he was only a baby and has no memory of where he is from or who his parents are or that he is royalty. His parents wait and when the door opens, send in a group of rescuers to bring the Prince home. No spoilers but you will go on an adventure of who's who and hurry hurry hurry! I would recommend this book to everyone young and old!
Note - This is the book that many question whether J. K. Rowling kinda snagged up some ideas for Harry Potter. Many things are similar including names and story line. Eva Ibbotson passed away in 2010 and I hope she rests in peace.
