The Cheerleaders

Stars 5/5
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas

Amazing YA Mystery! I really enjoyed reading this book. The story line was very unique and creative. The story follows Monica and her quest to find out what really happened to her sister and the other cheerleaders that died five years ago. Her sister committed suicide but Monica wanted to know why. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I will say that I wish the ending would of been a bit longer. Fingers crossed that we will hear from these characters again. I highly recommend this book.

The Moving Finger (Miss Marple #4)

Stars 5/5
The Moving Finger (Miss Marple #4) by Agatha Christie

This is the 4th book in the Miss Marple series and continues on with the "who done it" mysteries. The story begins in a small village where people are randomly receiving viciously cruel and even accusing letters from someone anonymous until one recipient commits suicide or does she? Another wonderful Miss Marple mystery to solve. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

The Body In The Library (Miss Marple #3)

Stars 5/5
The Body In The Library (Miss Marple #3) by Agatha Christie

What a wonderful mystery! I just love Agatha Christie and all her brilliance. This is the 3rd book in the Miss Marple series and it is definitely an amazing read. It follows another case for Miss Marple to help solve regarding a dancer found strangled in the library. There are always so many twists and turns to figure out who done it that even in the end you are surprised. I highly recommend this book and series to everyone.

Home Of The Brave by Katherine Applegate

I thought this book was so sweet. I just loved it. It is about a young boy named, Kek, that came to America from Africa due to the war. He came over to live with his Aunt and has never experienced snow, grocery stores, schools ect. He is the only one who holds to the belief that his Mom is still alive. On is way to his Aunt's he sees a cow and that is when his life in America takes off. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but it is a very heart felt story and I highly recommend it to everyone of all ages.

The 13 Problems (Miss Marple #2)

Stars 5/5
The 13 Problems by Agatha Christie

This is the second book in the Agatha Christie Miss Marple series and I have to say that this is one of my most favorites. Most of the series just has Miss Marple appearing at or near the end to help solve the mysteries but in this book she is through out the whole novel. Six solving odd mysteries. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a "who done it".

The Murder At The Vicarage (Miss Marple #1)

Stars 5/5
The Murder At The Vicarage by Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie was one of the most amazing mystery writers of her century. I just love all of her work and try to read some every year. This is not my first time reading the Miss Marple series and it definitely won't be my last. This is the first book in the series and is a wonderfully exciting mystery. "Who Killed the Colonel?" Leave it to Miss Marple to figure it all out. I highly recommend this book as well as the series to everyone who loves a "who done it". #BookTubeAThon2018 Read.

The Hound Of The Baskervilles

Stars 5/5
The Hound Of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

This is not my first time reading this amazing story nor will it be my last. I just love Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson! This story is a bit different than most because Sherlock lets Dr. Watson go it alone for the most part of the book and I just love seeing Dr. Watson putting Sherlock Holmes' theories to the test. I remember reading this as a teen and it used to spook me and it still does today. I don't want to go into the story much to not spoil it but you can't go wrong with a creepy estate, odd people, lights from the forest and scary sounds of monstrous hounds. I highly recommend this story to everyone especially ones who love a good mystery.

The Invisible Man

Stars 5/5
The Invisible Man by H. G. Wells

Of course this is not my first time reading The Invisible Man but it has been a very long time so I wanted to revisit this story that I loved as teen and I still love it. I sure most people know what the story is about so I won't go into that but I do want to talk about the ending and how it still angers me. I am not going to say what happens at the end but it always makes me upset. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

All The Missing Girls

Stars 4/5
All The Missing Girls by Megan Miranda

I have to say that this book took me a bit to get into due to the writing style of going backwards but after I did finally catch on (I am a bit slow) I really enjoyed it. I have to be honest when I say I think the book would of been better just going forwards but that is just my opinion. The story line was unique and that I really loved. It follows Nicolette, a woman who ran from her small town to escape, who finally must come home to deal with family issues and the past comes back. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I do recommend this book to everyone who likes a twist.

The Sweetest Kind Of Poison

Stars 5/5
The Sweetest Kind Of Poison by Katie Wismer

As a survivor of attempted murder, torture, kidnapping and domestic abuse I highly recommend this book. I think a copy should be in every Battered Women's home internationally. I am not saying that this will be the book that finally makes that click to know never to go back to the abuser but it just might. Everyone's click is different. This is a wonderful poetry book about finding yourself and loving yourself long enough to just let go of that toxic person in your life for good. Beautiful words that I recommend to everyone.

Old Christmas

Stars 5/5
Old Christmas by Washington Irving
Illustrated by Randolph Caldecott

I decided to read this short book as a "Christmas in July" read and I have to say that it was wonderful and gave me that warm holiday feeling. The story is told of many different holiday traditions and celebrations. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a Classic for Christmas.

A Study In Scarlet

Stars 5/5
A Study In Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle

This of course, is not my first time reading Sherlock Holmes but I have not read this in such a long time that I wanted to revisit this master sleuth. This story follows Dr Watson and his very first meeting with Sherlock Holmes to inquire about an opportunity to become room mates to save money on a flat. Dr Watson is amazed with the sheer intellect of Sherlock which leads them to the first case. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend this book as well as the series to everyone who loves a good "who done it?".

Stars 5/5
House Of Robots by James Patterson

Such an awesomely kool story! This book follows Sammy, his family and lots of robots. Sammy's Mom  builds robots and their house is full of all different kinds. A robot for everything. A newly created robot named "E" is built to go to school with Sammy and that is when the adventure begins. I highly recommend this book to kids of all ages. I just loved it.

Final Draft

Stars 4/5
Final Draft by Riley Redgate

This was a coming of age and sexuality book. It followed a high school senior named Laila who excelled in creative writing and was planning to study it in college. She had a very unique relationship with her creative writing teacher (not sexual but I feel it could of be questionable in real life) in that she kept in touch with him even via email regarding her writing and other things going on in her life. One day Mr Madison, her teacher, gets in an accident and is in the hospital so the school hires a prominent Pulitzer Prize winning author to take over the class. Now I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I will say that the plot surrounding Mr. Madison was very emotional for me. I really would of liked to seen more character building for all of Laila's friends and family but this book was a unique story to read. I would recommend it.
