Trail Of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse
This book is the beginning of a wonderfully monster filled ride and I can not wait for the next book to come out. The book follows Maggie, a monster hunter, and Kai, an amazing medicine man. The world is set in a dystopian environment on a Navajo reservation named Dinetah and there are monsters roaming all around, like zombies but worse. I really enjoyed all the characters in the book but hope to see more of Kai and his powers in the next book because I know he is more than what he has showed us so far. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend this book. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
