Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
I have not read this book since I was in school and so I thought I would re-visit the world. I just loved this book. The story follows young Billy as all he ever wishes for is two coon hounds to help him go hunting. So he saves up his money for two years and finally has his grandfather order them from Kentucky. The arrive by train and this book is about his adventures with Old Dan and Little Ann. I can't recommend this book enough. It is great for kids of all ages.
