The Woman In Black by Susan Hill
This is not the first time I have read this book nor will it be my last. I love this story and can not get enough of it. The story follows Arthur Kipps, a solicitor sent to the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow to not only represent the firm he works for but to retrieve important papers from the deceased home. At the funeral, Mr Kipps sees the woman in black for the first time but the town refuses to talk about her. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I can not recommend this book enough especially during the Halloween/Autumn season or for a spooky tale on Christmas Eve.
