Esio Trot by Roald Dahl
The first thing I think about when I re-read this book was how in the world did that woman not be able to notice that her beloved tortoise was not the same but it wouldn't of been a fun book if she would have. I really love this silly book. The story follows a woman who wants her little tortoise, Alfie, to grow and a neighbor man who wants the woman to notice him. A very cute but mischievous book that I highly recommend to kids of all ages.
