Asylum (Afterlife Investigations #1) by Ambrose Ibsen
OMG! I just loved this trilogy! This is the first book and it follows college professor Stephen Barlow, as he is approached by one of his students asking him to head a new paranormal club that promises a thousand extra dollars that he can't refuse. Their first field trip will be a visit to Chaythe Asylum, as it is supposed to be haunted because of a horrible killing that occurred which lead to it's closing. Now, I do not want to go into this story more as to not spoil it but OMG this book is full of awesomely creepy twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend it.
