The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon
WOW! This book was creepy! I really enjoyed this creative and unique tale that is spun in this book. The story is told in two different eras of time. In 1908 where Sara is found skinned to death in her back yard and her husband dead from a gunshot and in present day when Ruthie wakes to find her mother is missing and during her search for her finds Sara's journal but it is missing a few pages that were her last entries before her death. Some questions shouldn't be asked and Ruthie and her sister find this out the hard way. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it.
