The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King
(read this book for the #Spookathon 2019)
Such an amazing book that pulls at your deepest fear of getting lost. The story follows nine year old, Trisha, as she gets lost from her mom and brother during their hike on the Appalachian Trail. She is forced to survive off the land and the only thing keeping her sane is her walkman and listening to the baseball game each night. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I will say that this is a creepy "what goes bump in the night" read. I highly recommend it.
