Her Final Confession (Detective Josie Quinn #4)

Stars 5/5
Her Final Confession (Detective Josie Quinn #4) by Lisa Regan

I really love this series. So much going on and unique mysteries to solve. This is the fourth book in the Detective Josie Quinn series and I loved it. The book continues to follows Josie as she investigates a new case of murder. A young guy is found dead with a picture of a young boy pinned to him in the driveway of one of her officers, Gretchen. And she is now missing. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it as well as the series.

This Is Where It Ends

Stars 5/5
This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp

This is an amazing story that definitely pulled out lots of emotions. The story follows different characters as they are dealing with a gun man in school that has locked them all in the auditorium and has started shooting. I can't say that I could even guess how people would feel in this situation but I think this book gets very close. Everyone trying to be brave, trying to hide, wanting to help, sitting in shock and so much more. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it.

The Art Of Losing

Stars 5/5
The Art Of Losing by Lizzy Mason

I must be honest in saying I really try to stay clear of reading books about drug or alcohol addictions but I really wanted to read this book because I heard great things about it and I really loved the story. It was very unique and creative! The story follows Harley who just found her boyfriend Mike cheating on her with her younger sister, Audrey. She gets so upset she leaves the party and has now found out that Mike was drunk and was just in an accident with Audrey in the car. Audrey is in a coma and Mike is fine. This story is how Harley comes to deal with the issues as well as rekindling an old friendship with Raf, her next door neighbor who also is a recovering addict. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it.

On The Come Up

Stars 2/5
On The Come Up by Angie Thomas

The writing is amazing, very creative and unique. The story follows Bri, a sixteen year old that loves poetry and rap. The daughter of a local famous rapper that was gunned down, Bri tries to find herself and who she is and making her rap her own. I honestly need to say that this book was not really for me. I usually do not read book that focus on racism and drug addictions but I wanted to give this book a try due to hearing good reviews.

The Wild Lands

Stars 4/5
The Wild Lands by Paul Greci

Very interesting and unique survival story that I really enjoyed. The book follows Travis and his sister Jess as they travel across Alaska to find civilization after the land had been destroyed by fire and other natural disasters. They meet up with others along the way. Some good and some deadly. Overcoming obstacles to stay alive. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I recommend to everyone who loves Alaska based survival books like I do.

Watcher In The Woods (Rockton #4)

Stars 5/5
Watcher In The Woods (Rockton #4) by Kelley Armstrong

This is the fourth book in the Rockton series and I just loved it! I can not wait for the next book to come out as I really enjoy this series. The book continue to follow Detective Casey in the secluded town of Rockton. One of the residents is seriously injured and Casey must ask her estranged sister April to come and help. A US Marshal shows up in town looking for a fugitive and is very secretive about who he has come for. I do not want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it as well as the series.
