The Familiars by Stacey Halls

I really enjoyed this book and always love witches! The book follows Fleetwood, a young married woman, with child. After a few miscarriages, she finds a letter that informs her husband that she will die during childbirth. She seeks out a midwife and meets Alice, a girl that is wanted for murder and witchcraft. I have to say that I hated Richard, Fleetwood's husband, but I am glad to see his character in the book. It makes the book more realistic. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I definitely recommend it.

Mrs. McGinty's Dead (Hercule Poirot #30) by Agatha Christie

This is the 30th book in the Hercule Poirot series and I just loved it. Hercule Poirot is on the case of a widow who was murdered and was it someone who was a lodger? I really enjoyed this book as well as the series. I highly recommend them all.

WOW! OMG I really loved this book. It is a post apocalyptic re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood and it is amazing! This book made it to my 2019 Favorites List and I really would love a book two! The book follows a young girl named Cordelia, nick named Red, on a journey of survival to get to her Grandma's house. It starts as a virus but grows into so much more. I do not want to go into the story as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it.

This is the 28th book in the Hercule Poirot series and I must be honest when I say that I wish Hercule Poirot would have been in the book more than just the ending but the mystery was as awesome as always. This book follows a family grief stricken by the death of their son but also because he married and all his money went to her. Hercule Poirot is called in find out if she is who she says she is. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but i highly recommend it.

What Remains Of Her by Eric Rickstad

WoW! This was such a twisty mystery and I really enjoyed it. You don't find out anything until the end! The book follows Lucinda, a woman walking in the footsteps of her father by becoming police in her hometown even though archaeology is her life dream. When Lucinda was young her best friend, Sally, and Sally's mother went missing and was never found. Jonah, Sally's father, was always the one people pointed fingers at even after he went crazy and left town to live in the woods. I don't want to go into the story more but I highly recommend it.

The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo

This is not my first time reading this classic but I had to re-visit this world. The story is a haunting classic set in Medieval times. Quasimodo, Esmeralda and the priest but I really enjoyed the descriptive settings. The fine details of every inch of Notre Dame. I highly recommend this book and I know I will re-visit this world again in the future.
