This is the 26th book in the Hercule Poirot series and as always I just loved it. Hercule Poirot is visiting a house party in The Hollow and what was supposed to be a charade turned out to be a real murder and his wife is caught holding the gun. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

This is the 25th book in the Hercule Poirot series and I just loved it. Hercule Poirot is hired to solve a very cold case of 16 years. Mrs Caroline Crale was found guilty of killing her philandering husband, a famous artist. While in prison, Mrs Crale sent her daughter a letter stating her innocence and later died. Hercule Poirot is called to find out the truth behind the murder. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

Evil Under The Sun (Hercule Poirot #24) by Agatha Christie

This is the 24th book in the Hercule Poirot series and this is classic Agatha Christie, a murder on holiday! I just love them! The book follows Hercule Poirot as he is on holiday at the Jolly Roger and of course someone is murdered. I have to say this is one of my favorites! I highly recommend all of Agatha Christie's books.

The Price Guide To The Occult by Leslye Walton

WoW I think the mother in this book has to win the award for Most Horrible! I really enjoy a good witchy story and this one was unique and very creative. The book follows Nor, a young witch that comes from a long line of witches including Rona Blackburn, one of the first inhabitants on the island in which they live. Nor's mother, Fern, thinks only of herself and wants more and more of everything. Fern is so upset that the love of her life leaves the island that she too leaves but years later returns with a storm of devastation. I have read reviews that mention a trigger warning for self harm but honestly as I see it, Nor was desperately trying to rid herself of the mark Fern gave her. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I do recommend it.

The Mist In The Mirror by Susan Hill

Of course this is not the first time reading this novel but I had to re-visit this haunting world for an awesome ghost story. The book follows Sir James Monmouth and his search for his roots. He travels to England at first following in the footsteps of his idol Conrad Vane as he pioneered around the world but James found some information that an elderly woman with the sir name Monmouth lived in a remote area called Kittiscar so he had to take the trip up north to meet his relation. All the while he is traveling, he is haunted by the ghost of a little boy. I do not want to go into the story as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it. Would be a spooky addition to any Halloween/Autumn TBR.

The Names Of Dead Girls (Canaan Crime #3) by Eric Rickstad

This is the third book in the Canaan Crime series and I have to say that I would love to see more books added to the series. I just loved Frank Rath! The book continues to follow him and his daughter Rachel, as they find out that Ned Preacher, the man who killed her parents and Frank's sister, has been released from prison. Frank tries to keep an eye on Preacher but other girls have gone missing and someone is watching Rachel. I don't want to say more as to not spoil the story but I highly recommend this series. I really enjoyed it.

The Silent Girls (Canaan Crime #2) by Eric Rickstad

This is the second book in the Canaan Crime series and I really enjoyed it. The book follows Frank Rath, a detective that turned in his badge and wants no more to do with murder or hunting down murderers. Frank Rath's sister and brother in law were murdered in a viscous way and Frank raised their daughter as his own but now girls are going missing and he is called to help. I don't want to go more into the story as to not spoil it but I highly recommend it. I will be reading the next book.
