This is a wonderful book for kids that discusses the Titanic's crew and their duties before the sinking. I have always been drawn to everything Titanic so I loved reading this short book as well. I highly recommend this for all ages who are interested in learning more about the Titanic and the people that lived and died on that maiden voyage.

When I Am Through With You by Stephanie Kuehn

I went into this book not knowing much about it and I have to say that I just loved it. The story line was so unique and creative that I was hooked right away. The book follows Ben, a young guy that signs up to help with a camping/hiking trip. The school camping trip turns into much more after meeting some questionable people on the trail that was rumored to be bank robbers that escaped from an asylum. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I have to say that I think the ending would of been different after they read his journal. This book was amazing to read and honestly I would love to have a book 2. I highly recommend it for everyone especially ones who love wilderness survival books with a twist.

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

I am definitely a Richelle Mead fan. I found the story line very intriguing and creative. The book follows the Countess of Osfrid and how she took the place of her servant to be trained by a finishing school and taken across the sea to new settlement called Adoria to escape the arranged marriage to her cousin. That is when all the adventure begins and even a love interest. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I will assuredly be continuing on with this series. I recommend it to everyone.

Everything Beautiful Is Not Ruined by Danielle Younge-Ullman

I really enjoyed this book and honestly would love to know what ends up happening to all the characters over time. The story follows Ingrid and her life growing up with her Mother, who was an opera singer that unfortunately lost her voice to sing. Ingrid ends up going on a survivor wilderness camp to please her Mother in hopes to go to school in London for music. I do not want to go into this story more as to not spoil it but so much goes on in this book and it pulls out many emotions. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate

This is a very heart touching book. It follows a little boy named Jackson, his family and how they fell on hard times getting evicted with no food to eat. Jackson had this invisible friend named Crenshaw, which was a very large cat, when he was younger but he had disappeared long ago. Then one night he heard noises coming from the bath room and there he found Crenshaw taking a bubble bath. I do not want to go into the story more to not spoil it but I highly recommend this book to kids of all ages.

Monster by Walter Dean Myers

I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. It was written as if it was being filmed as a movie. The story follows a 16 yr old boy named Steve who is on trial for murder from a convenience store robbery gone wrong. It goes through the trial, accomplices to the crime and his stay in the jail. A very heart touching story. I don't want to go into the story more as to not spoil it but I highly recommend this book to everyone.

There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro

What a cute book! I wish I would of waited until winter to read this but on such a hot day in July I needed some snow! The book follows a Cold Lady that swallows things just like the Old Lady in another children's story. I am not going to tell you what happens in the end you must read the book. I highly recommend this fun book to kids of all ages.
